Unity in the church - part 4

We must committed not to judge one another.

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to judge the person you are frustrated with. It’s not because you know everything about them, it’s because you have a critical spirit a big part of judging is you thinking that you know the motivation behind their behavior.

We can’t judge one another and walk together in unity. Understanding the critical spirit will drive you further away from that person. How do I know that I’m judging someone, judgment can be correctly measured by the distance between the two parties. The closer you are to a person the less you tend to judge them. But the more intentional distance you create between you and someone else the more judgment you tend to keep up on them.

Matthew 7:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)

1“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

How do you judge others, how do you judge yourself, how would you like to be judged. Typically, we judge others by their action, and we judge ourselves by our intentions. If you began to judge that person you are most frustrated with by their best moments and not their worst, what would happen. You would draw nearer to that person not move farther away. The enemy has us judging them by their worst moments, none of us look good when you are being judged by our worst moment, if we are to walk in unity we can’t judge base on peoples worst moments but there best moments.

God Bless, Israel
