Does evil exists?

Writer's picture: Israel FerrerIsrael Ferrer

Do you believe that God created everything that exists?

Most people would say yes, I believe that to be true. So if God created everything that exists that would mean that God created evil?

Do you believe that evil exists?

Again most people would say Yes,  there’s a lot of bad things going on in this world, there’s a lot of evil that people do, and all that is true.

Let me ask you another question, do you believe that cold exists?

You probably would say, yes because it’s cold today, and you do feel cold. But cold is a word to describe absence of heat. Heat is something that exist, it can be measured, it can be studied, and it can be observed. Cold is just a word for the absence of heat.

Do you believe that darkness exists?

Yes, it gets dark at night and when you turn off the lights in a room it gets dark so yes there is darkness. Darkness is a word to describe the absence of light. Light exists, you can measure, it can be studied, and it can be observed. Darkness is just the absence of light.

I ask again, do you still believe in evil?

Evil is the absence of God! God gives us these things that exist. Faith, hope, and love. And those things are like warmth and light, and the absence of faith, hope, and love is the absence of God in your heart that is what evil is. It’s the absence of an all-loving Creator.

Do you think evil exists?

Evil is just the absence of God and without Him it’s all darkness, it’s all an empty void, it’s all evil. Cold is a word for the absence of heat, Dark is a word for the absence of light, Evil is a word for the absence of our Father in heaven. There are many people with lifestyles, ideals, hopes and dreams that are in absence of God.

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

If we let ourselves become exactly like the world, evil already has a strong foothold on our lives. We should continually renew our minds and hearts into the image of God. This will keep us in line with His perfect will, and the good that He has for us will always be greater than the evil in the world.

God bless, Israel
