A six-part series on Unity in the Church

Part 1: What the enemy doesn’t want you to know.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

When looking at the landscape of this world, we don’t take time to look at unity, especially in family and in church, unity is under attacked. The devil hates unity.

We need to understand the enemy’s playbook and his schemes.

Have you ever been in a season of your life where you’re praying for something and that thing that you are praying for has the highest priority in your life, and everything else seems to not as important in comparison to that thing.

Jesus found Himself in a similar situation, you see Jesus was praying for that one thing.

John 17:20-23 New Living Translation (NLT)

20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. 22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

What Jesus is saying He wants us to experience perfect unity, that the world will know that God sent his Son to the world and that they will also know that He loves them just as much as He loves His Son, All because of perfect unity.
